So Far SO Good

I am really enjoying Loving Frank. I love the idea that it's based around the early 1900's. It amazes me that the times have indeed changed! The story is an affair with Frank Lloyd Wright and it captures how then, it was a sin to have an affair and is shows how people who literally banish you if you were apart of such a scandal. NOW people opening cheat and lie and it's OK. I think I like it better as it was then than now...Sorta. I believe that marriage is sacred but I also believe that what you do in your private life should be left behind closed doors and to totally ban people because of what they do it...well...I don't really know. I am caught between the two. I def don't believe in adultery, that I can honestly say is not a good thing but I also believe that work and home life should be separate and people should get hired or fired based on their work conduct not home life. Does this make sense?

Well, anyway, To the right is an image of Frank Lloyd Wright from xroads.virginia.edu It was said to be dated around 1889. i thought it would be nice to have an image of him when the story was basically written around. I am hoping that others are enjoying this story as much as me. I am only on Page 140 but it is amazing still and I hope this becomes one of my all time fave! Kudos to Nancy Horan for writing a smash hit on her first published novel!!!

the Almost Moon

Well I just finished reading The Almost Moon by Alice Sebold and I gave it 2 of 5 stars on http://www.goodreads.com/. I just didn't really care for it. I know Lovely Bones and Lucky were faves of many people and Lovely Bones was a #1 Bestseller but I have yet to read them. I guess that is a good thing considering if I read a great book by an author just to get my hopes up on another one they may have wrote just to find it to be crap! I mean, well, I just didn't like it. I felt it was a waste of a story. I will still attempt to read The Lovely Bones simply out of curiosity and also because I got a copy of it at a Yard sale.

I am now going to start to read Loving Frank by Nany Horan. I hear great thinga bout this book. It is also a New York Times Bestseller.

I posted a link from Random House above this just to give you an idea of what it is about. It is def much different from what I just read.

Slowly Moving...

OK, so I have been busy with the new blog: www.forevercreative.blogspot.com. I am addicted to handmade items and I cannot stop buying stuff from Etsy! As I mentioned before, I started making my own jewelry and stuff so if you are not busy just stop by to see. You can check out the blog or you can check out the site www.forevercreative.etsy.com

I have finally finished Bridge of Sighs and I loved it. I am now reading The Almost Moon by Alice Sebold and I gotta say I am a little frightened. It is not so weird because I am a fan of Chuck's books but it is def weird in the sense that killing one's own mother is a wee b it disturbing. I am flying thru this one tho and I am already on page 120 or 280 so I am at least catching up on my 65 challenge.

I just went out and brought Loving Frank by Nancy Horan and Bitter Sweet by Roopa Farooki. I also ordered Girls of Riyadh.

I am going to try to stay on top of this blog as well as my new one. I am also constantly on www.etsy.com, www.facebook.com, www.myspace.com, www.twitter.com and as always www.goodreads.com so I am constantly bumping around.

I also wanted to mention to Jeremy (if you are out there) that you are missed and I hope everything is OK because I have not spoken to you since April and I just wanted to make sure you and the fam are good. Please send me an email and let me know!
